We are located midway between Rhayader and Llanidloes, close to the villages of St. Harmon and Pant Y Dwr, right in the very centre of Wales and close to the Cambrian Mountains and Elan Valley and Elanith. The surrounding countryside is splendidly wild but with something suitable for all abilities and tastes. Be it summer or winter it can be explored by bike, on foot, or even on horseback or by canoe, with each season offering its own challenges. In winter weather such as we have had for the last couple of years even cross country skiing is a possibility.
The Trans Cambrian Trail, Glyndwrs Way, Wye Valley Walk, Lon Las Cymru cycle route and The Radnorshire Ring, regional cycle route 825, are all closeby, and we are always pleased to share our extensive local knowledge so that you can enjoy your stay to the very best advantage.
The bunkhouse will sleep up to twenty people, with room for a further 6 in our tipi during the spring and summer, and is available for groups or individuals, either self catering, or we can cater for you if booked beforehand.
Upstairs is a dormitory sleeping up to 14 people and downstairs is a family room sleeping up to 6, with disabled access. The dormitory can be split into 4 separate areas with curtains. There is a fully equipped kitchen, washing and drying room, common / dining room and of course toilets and showers. As most of our guests bring their own sleeping bags bedding is not included in the price, but is available on request for a small extra charge.
The bunkhouse is heated in winter.
Outside there is a covered verandah and garden, along with a barbecue and charcoal pizza oven.
